Venetian Resort Introduces Largest Poker Room on Las Vegas Strip

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas proudly opened its new poker room this week, located on the second floor of the Grand Canal Shoppes at Palazzo. This impressive 14,000 sq. ft. space accommodates 50 tables, making it the largest poker room on the Las Vegas Strip. The new venue offers convenient access to dining options and the parking garage. This news comes after a major transformation of the resort 3 months back on its 25th anniversary.

“We’re thrilled to announce the grand opening of our brand-new poker room at the Venetian Resort,” the casino tweeted. “When will we see you at the tables?” The opening event featured several poker professionals, including Matt Berkey, Maria Konnikova, Jeremy Ausmus, Scott Blumstein, and Jamie Kerstetter. Other notable attendees included poker podcaster Joey Ingram, actress Farah Galfond, magician Shin Lim, and rapper Nelly, known for his participation in poker events over the years.

Venetian Director of Poker Operations Tommy LaRosa cut the ribbon, signaling the official opening. The ceremonial first hand, a $1-$3 game, saw eight of the nine players go all-in preflop. Blumstein and Ingram shared a $2,400 pot with a queen-high straight.

Amenities and Promotions

To celebrate the launch, Venetian announced a special promotion: players will receive $3 per hour comps for any cash game play until December 31. The new poker room offers a range of amenities, including complimentary self-serve coffee and soda, USB and USB-C charging ports at every seat, tableside restaurant ordering, and free parking for players who play more than three hours. The venue also features numerous TVs, a sports betting kiosk, and a dedicated restroom.

Casino & Sports

Players praised the quieter atmosphere, as the room is free from the noise of nearby slot machines. The non-smoking policy in the Grand Canal Shoppes also received positive feedback for improving air quality.

Later this year, the Venetian plans to introduce a live streaming room for vlogging sessions, big cash games, and tournament final tables. The property will continue to host the popular Deepstack series and serve as a stop on several poker tours.

With its grand opening, the Venetian Resort Las Vegas poker room sets a new standard on the Strip, offering players an unparalleled experience.
