Jared Bleznick won Event #92: $50,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em, coming out on top of a field of 178 entrants. This win gave him his first WSOP bracelet and a prize of $2,037,947, a career high for the poker pro, who now holds $4,797,727 in tournament winnings according to the HendonMob.
Bleznick, a popular player, perhaps more for his engaging behavior on the table, challenging his players verbally, faced strong competition at the final table, including well-known players such as Erik Seidel, who finished eighth, Isai Scheinberg in seventh, Justin Saliba in fifth, Nacho Barbero in fourth, and Christoph Vogelsang in third. Despite the tough field, Bleznick secured the victory.
In the final hand, Lonis limped in from the button. Bleznick, in the big blind, responded by raising all-in. Lonis called with his remaining 13,000,000 chips, holding pocket sevens against Bleznick’s Ace Four of clubs.
The flop delivered an Ace, putting Bleznick ahead with a paired Ace. The turn brought no help for Lonis, who needed a seven on the river to stay in the game. Instead, the river produced another Ace, giving Bleznick the win and the $2,037,947 prize. Lonis took home $1,358,633 for his second-place finish.
