However, David Eldridge seized the lead after a crucial hand. Although Rast regained the lead briefly, Eldridge’s daring bluffs during heads-up play secured his victory. He walked away with $2,246,728 and his second WSOP gold bracelet.
Eldridge’s win significantly surpasses the $41,553 he earned with his first bracelet, won in the 2021 WSOP Online $1,000 no-limit hold’em freezeout in Pennsylvania. His total recorded tournament earnings now exceed $3.9 million, with over $2.6 million from 32 WSOP cashes.
The event drew a record 476 entries, up from 445 the previous year. The prize pool reached $11,186,000, distributed among the top 72 finishers. Several notable players cashed in, including three-time bracelet winner Joao Vieira (27th), Michael ‘Texas Mike’ Moncek (25th), Viktor Blom (22nd), two-time bracelet winner Erick Lindgren (21st), two-time bracelet winner Kahle Burns (20th), bracelet winner Alex Livingston (17th), bracelet winner Joni Jouhkimainen (12th), bracelet winner Eelis Parssinen (10th), bracelet winner Anuj Agarwhal (8th), and Juha Helppi (5th).
“I’m feeling good. It was a long four days, but things worked out,” Eldridge said shortly after his victory.
