On June 27, Franco Spitale won the Millionaire Maker tournament in Las Vegas, part of the World Series of Poker (WSOP). The 54th event on the WSOP schedule saw Spitale claim a top prize of $1,250,125, boosting his career earnings to over $1.9 million.
“It’s still, it’s hard for me to believe it. You know, it’s too much. Really? I dreamed about this all my life. I promised my little girl, I have a daughter called Emma, that the next trophy would be for her, so this trophy is for her,” Spitale shared with reporters after his victory.
