The tournament attracted 1,534 players, creating a prize pool of $2,047,890. Reflecting on his win afterwards, Sepiol expressed his joyto reporters, saying, “It feels amazing, man. I’ve been chasing a bracelet for years now, it feels great.”
When asked about his mindset during the heads-up play with a massive chip disadvantage, Sepiol said, “It doesn’t feel good, especially when you just bluffed off your entire stack, but I played the stack in front of me and just tried to make the best decisions.”
Regarding his performance in the early stages of the event, Sepiol noted, “My first two tables were smooth, and I ran good. I had a big chip stack when we were short-handed and it was kind of cruise.”
