Proposed legislation by the Irish government aims to transform the gambling business in the Republic, causing quite a stir. James Browne, the State Minister of the Department of Justice, is leading the proposal to outlaw television betting advertisements between 5:30 AM and 9:00 PM. Charity organizations are still free to promote gambling for charitable purposes as long as the awards don’t exceed €10,000.
