This summer, the Venetian Las Vegas is set to open a new poker room, a move that promises to enhance the gaming experience for both cash and tournament poker players. The announcement reveals plans for a 14,000 square foot space on Level 2 of the resort, positioning it as the largest poker room in Las Vegas with 50 tables.
The relocation of the poker room to a more central spot near the Grand Canal Shoppes and The Palazzo self-parking garage aligns with strategic efforts to improve accessibility and player convenience. This new venue will also offer players a range of amenities designed with their comfort in mind, including a self-serve soda fountain and coffee machine, exclusive restrooms, and multiple TVs. Furthermore, each seat will be equipped with USB and USB-C charging ports, catering to the modern player’s need to stay connected.
Adding a unique twist to the traditional poker room setup, the Venetian’s new addition includes a special streaming room. This space is designed for players to organize vlogging sessions and broadcast live streams of tournament final tables and cash games, a feature that underscores the innovative spirit of the Venetian.
Reflecting on the expansion, Danny Ruiz, Venetian’s Chief Gaming Officer, shared, “The expansion of the poker room is a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts of reimagining the gaming experience at The Venetian Resort. The room was designed to provide an elevated playing experience and everything from design details to enhancements were made with the players in mind.”
Since opening its doors in 2006, the Venetian Poker Room has become a favored spot for poker aficionados, known for hosting the celebrated Venetian DeepStack series, as well as World Poker Tour (WPT) and Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) events.
Tommy LaRosa, the Director of Poker Operations, expressed enthusiasm about the new development, saying, “We’re making an investment in our players and curating the amenities based on their feedback. We can’t wait to unveil the new room this summer and show why the Venetian Poker Room is and continues to provide an unparalleled poker experience.”
