The worldwide gaming technology giant NOVOMATIC AG Group proudly announced on Tuesday the improvement of its international Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) rating, which is a notable milestone. The esteemed sustainability rating organization ISS ESG (Institutional Shareholder Services Inc.) recognized notable advancements in several important domains, propelling NOVOMATIC to a prominent standing.
Achieving a “C” grade for the first time, NOVOMATIC achieved a historic first and is now ranked in the top 30% of the worldwide electronic industry. This honor places NOVOMATIC in the company of esteemed international giants like Apple, DELL, and HP, demonstrating the firm’s dedication to sustainability.
ISS ESG is a leading ESG rating agency in the world, working with Moody’s ESG Solutions and Sustainalytics. Together, these organizations assess how sustainable firms are doing on a global scale and honor their efforts in social, environmental, and governance policies.
NOVOMATIC Board Member Johannes Gratzl expressed his happiness that the company’s significant dedication to sustainability was recognized. “With this rating, we have made a great leap forward, and our level of transparency is now at the highest level,” stated Gratzl. He stressed that NOVOMATIC goes above and above industry norms, especially when it comes to standards and working conditions.
In agreement, Ryszard Presch, Executive Board Member of NOVOMATIC, said, “As an international gaming technology group, we have always assumed social responsibility and act conscientiously and transparently in all areas of our business.”
This esteemed upgrading comes after NOVOMATIC was named the industry champion in PwC’s ESG Ranking 2023, proving the company’s commitment to sustainability.
Improvements in important categories, such as “Corporate governance and business ethics,” “Society and product responsibility,” and “Employees and suppliers,” are particularly acknowledged by the increased ISS ESG rating. This acknowledgement demonstrates how important ESG is to NOVOMATIC’s business strategy.
Earlier this year, NOVOMATIC strengthened its commitment to sustainability by expanding its worldwide reach through a strategic alliance with Tecnet Asia. The collaboration, announced in July, appointed Tecnet Asia as NOVOMATIC’s official distributor for the Philippines, facilitating the broader dissemination of NOVOMATIC’s cutting-edge technology in the region.
