Danny “jackdaniels1” Wong prevailed in Event #4: $600 NLH Ultra Deepstack on WSOP.com, earning his first World Series of Poker (WSOP) gold bracelet and winning $130,648 in prize money. With 1,031 participants and 625 rebuys, the tournament attracted a strong field and generated a prize fund of $894,240.
His spectacular career, which boasts revenues above $5 million, gains another milestone with Wong’s victory in this elite competition, according to Hendon Mob. His remarkable cashes go all the way back to 2006, making him a powerful player in the poker industry.
Roman “Romka4ever” Ilin finished in third place, and Adam “misterblue” Saven took home the fourth spot, as the tournament’s final rounds saw fierce competition. The final place finisher was former WSOP champion Ian “IanMa” Matakis.
Many well-known players entered the competition in the hopes of winning WSOP gold. Even well-known individuals like Vanessa “ContainsNuts” Kade, Michael “stiltwalk” Mercaldo, Jamie “DanBilzerian” Kerstetter, and Karapet “Siro74” Galstyan were unable to finish in the money. Ethan “Rampunts” Yau and Johnnie “JohnnieVIBES” Moreno, two well-known poker YouTubers, also failed to make the money.
When Jason “Daluxxx” Luxenberg, who was “sitting out” of the event, was forced to go all in after being blinded down to less than an ante, the bubble burst in an uncommon and unanticipated way. When the money was reached, the activity picked up speed and numerous players left in the hands that followed.
There were few well-known players that finished in the money, including 2013 Main Event champion Ryan “BitC0in” Riess, who finished in 156th place and earned $1,788. Matt “RubberFist” Stout received $1,877 for finishing in 138th position. WSOP.com regulars Jeremiah “freestylerr” Williams (56th – $2,503), Corey “Corgasm” Paggeot (57th – $2,503), and Michael “BrockLesnar” Holtz (96th – $2,146) also created a name for themselves.
Intense Final Table Action
The eight-player official final table got underway steadily, with several preflop pots being disputed. The pace of the game quickened as the blinds increased and the average stack shrank to about 20 large blinds.
When “ChloeB23” shoved holding a queen-eight on the button and Saven called with pocket fours, the first elimination took place. The flop revealed a four, giving “ChloeB23” little chance to improve and sending them packing in eighth place.
After that, “maannyyy” finished in seventh place after going all-in with queen-jack suited but running against Saven’s pocket queens. Despite dominating the rankings in the latter rounds, “UselessTrvia” lost to Ilin’s sevens in a coin flip. They were eliminated from the competition in sixth place as a result.
Later, Matakis made a brave decision by playing ace-seven, risking their tournament life. The previous WSOP bracelet winner was eliminated, and “Brownballa” outdrew them with a flush to take fifth place.
The four-handed phase did not last long. After entering the middle with pocket eights, Saven’s stack was outdrawn by Ilin’s rivered straight, dropping Saven to fourth place.
Soon after, Ilin encountered a coin flip situation and lost because “Brownballa’s” ace-five suited was too strong for their pocket threes, placing them in third place. Below are the top 5 finishes,
Rank | Player | Country | Prize (USD) |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Danny “jackdaniels1” Wong | United States | $130,648 |
2 | “Brownballa” | United States | $95,505 |
3 | Roman “Romka4ever” Ilin | United States | $70,198 |

5 | Ian “IanMa” Matakis | United States | $38,184 |
Wong Emerges Victorious in Heads-Up Battle
“Brownballa” started the heads-up game with a dominating chip lead and more than double Wong’s stack. But after a tightly fought struggle, Wong emerged victorious.
In the penultimate hand, “Brownballa” made an all-in push with just over 20 large blinds after Wong raised the minimum from the button. “Brownballa” displayed ten-nine suited, while Wong quickly made the call with ace-seven. The flop showed an ace, and subsequent cards did not help “Brownballa,” giving them a second-place finish. Wong wore the WSOP gold bracelet as a sign of victory after a long battle.
Danny “jackdaniels1” Wong’s incredible victory in Event #4: $600 NLH Ultra Deepstack on WSOP.com showcases his excellent poker abilities and adds another outstanding honor to his illustrious career.
