Live! Casino Pittsburgh Approved For Five Year Licence Renewal

he Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has renewed the Live! Casino Pittsburgh licence for five years. The unanimous October 14 vote allows operator Stadium Casino Westmoreland RE, LLC to continue running the Westmoreland County casino.

Good To Know

  • Live! Casino Pittsburgh has generated $647 million in gross gaming revenue since November 2020.
  • The casino has contributed $314.7 million in taxes to Pennsylvania.
  • The property employs 569 people and operates a retail sportsbook.

Casino Operates Near Category 4 Slot Limit

Live! Casino Pittsburgh offers 748 slot machines and 40 table games. Pennsylvania law allows Category 4 casinos to operate between 300 and 750 slots, putting the property just two machines below that ceiling.

Its $647 million revenue total covers retail slots, table games and sports wagering since opening.

However, the renewal required more than financial figures. The board assessed whether Stadium Casino Westmoreland RE, LLC had fulfilled its existing licence obligations and concluded that it qualified for another term.

Board members questioned company representatives at a public hearing in Harrisburg on October 14, 2026, before approving the renewal.

Earlier, a June 2025 public input hearing gave residents an opportunity to discuss the casino and its community impact. Casino personnel also submitted exhibits and testimony about operations.

The review drew on local officials, community groups and the Pennsylvania State Police, alongside board teams responsible for enforcement, investigations, problem gambling and casino compliance.
