The Asian Poker Tour (APT) has confirmed four major festivals for its 2027 poker calendar, with two stops each in South Korea and Taiwan. The season will feature a $1.6 million guaranteed Main Event in Jeju and a $10,000 Championship Main Event in Taipei.
Good to Know
The biggest tournament on the announced calendar comes at the end of the year. APT Championship 2027 runs November 12 to 28 in Taipei, featuring a $10,000 Main Event Freezeout and several Lion Trophy competitions.
Poker Hall of Famer Erik Seidel previously described the Championship Main Event as “the Asian Main Event.”
Meanwhile, South Korea will host two festivals, including an October 1 to 10 return to Jeju. The island also opens the season with the APT Jeju Classic from January 22 to 31, where players can enter the KRW 2.2 million ($1,600) Main Event.
Taiwan gets another major festival from April 21 to May 3, with APT Taipei running for 13 days.
The decision to return to these destinations follows strong tournament attendance. For context, the APT Taipei 2025 Main Event attracted 2,547 entries and generated a prize pool of approximately $3.7 million.
APT Incheon 2026 also attracted 1,393 Main Event entries, nearly 10% more than the previous year.
Organizers expect players from more than 50 countries and regions throughout 2027. They will publish complete tournament schedules, structures and online satellite information on the official Asian Poker Tour website.
