GLI Gets Testing Approval in Uzbekistan Gambling Market

Gaming Laboratories International has joined the group of testing laboratories accepted by Uzbekistan regulator NAPP, giving licensed operators and suppliers another route to certify gaming products for the new regulated market.

The approval arrives as Uzbekistan shifts from creating gambling rules to issuing licences. NAPP listed the first four licences on July 31, 2026, covering two operators.

GLI Approval Adds Testing Route for New Operators

NAPP recognition means operators and gaming suppliers can submit GLI certification reports when seeking approval for technology and products in Uzbekistan. Technical requirements remain under development, however, and GLI said discussions with the regulator are continuing.

The timing gives the approval more relevance. NAPP issued two licences to Olimpbet and another two to Aurum Vale on July 31. The operators use olimpbet.uz and oltinbet.uz respectively, making them the first companies listed in the official gambling licence registry.

Uzbekistan started building the legal framework in 2024, when a presidential decree established licensed internet gambling and bookmaking from January 2025. NAPP later adopted rules covering licensing, restricted player groups and a unified state register for bets and players.

GLI representatives met NAPP officials earlier in August to discuss testing requirements and longer term development of the regulatory framework.

Lucas Zavarise, GLI government and regulatory affairs manager for Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa, said:
