Sky River Casino has completed the foundations for both towers of a planned 300 room hotel in Elk Grove, California. Vertical construction has now started on the West Tower. The project was first announced in June of 2024, as reported by iGaming.org.

Hotel Project Begins Rising Above Ground
Crews poured 1,500 cubic yards of concrete for the West Tower foundation on June 24. Workers began installing columns and beams one day later, followed by floor slabs and new levels.
The East Tower foundation followed on July 6. Construction has also started on low-rise buildings that will contain guest facilities and operating areas.
Sky River Casino wants the hotel to turn more casino visits into longer resort stays. Around 80% of Elk Grove visitors already stay overnight, with an average trip lasting 2.4 days.
Once complete, the property will become the largest hotel in Elk Grove. The wider Sky River Casino expansion also covers upgraded high-limit gaming and VIP areas, a resort-style outdoor pool and a full-service spa and salon.
A multi-purpose event and entertainment venue forms another part of the development. Earlier plans listed about 30,000 square feet of event space, along with new dining and bar options.

Wilton Rancheria owns Sky River Casino, while Boyd Gaming operates the property. The casino opened in August 2022 with more than 2,100 slot machines, 80 table games and 18 food and drink venues.
