Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe Opens After $200 Million Upgrade

Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe has celebrated its official opening after Caesars Entertainment completed a multi-phase redevelopment of the former Harveys Lake Tahoe.

Caesars Rebuilds Lake Tahoe Casino Offering

The project replaces the long-running Harveys identity with a Caesars Republic resort built around gaming, dining and year-round tourism. Harveys first opened in 1944, giving Caesars an established property to update rather than a new casino development.

Guests can now use redesigned rooms, refreshed meeting space and a modern casino floor with new slots, table games, poker, a high-limit area and an upgraded Caesars Sportsbook.

A connector links the resort with Harrah’s Lake Tahoe, allowing visitors to use rooms, restaurants and entertainment across both properties. The location also provides access to Heavenly Mountain Resort, Lake Tahoe beaches, golf and other outdoor activities.

An experience that blends the natural beauty of the Sierra Nevada with the energy and innovation our guests expect,” Caesars Entertainment President and COO Anthony Carano said. “The grand opening represents the realization of that vision and the beginning of an exciting new era for Lake Tahoe.”

The dining and nightlife roster includes WOLF by Vanderpump, Gordon Ramsay’s HELL’S KITCHEN, The Sage Room and Tessie’s Cocktails & Chords. Cleo’s Coffee and Cocktails, Centro and Celeste add more bar and lounge options.

Meanwhile, High Dive Pool and Lounge offers a heated pool, hot tubs and cabanas. The Lake Tahoe Amphitheatre at Caesars Republic continues to host the Summer Concert Series.

Caesars marked the opening with a ribbon-cutting and champagne reception featuring Lisa Vanderpump, Carano and company executives. Live performances from Tahoe Tommy and Pier Pressure followed at Tessie’s Cocktails & Chords.
