Hellmuth Makes Superhero Entrance To WSOP Main Event

Phil Hellmuth made his 2026 WSOP Main Event entrance in superhero mode, turning a long running personal tradition into a tribute to his 17 bracelet wins.

Hellmuth has turned World Series of Poker Main Event arrivals into part costume show, part poker branding for nearly two decades. In 2026, the all time bracelet leader went with a Superman inspired look, replacing the famous S symbol with his own PH logo.

Family became part of the act too. Nick Hellmuth and Phil Hellmuth III walked with him in similar black and gold outfits. Daniel ‘Jungleman‘ Cates, a regular part of recent Hellmuth entrances, joined in superhero gear with wings on his back.

The presentation did more than show another costume. Placards around the entrance celebrated each of Hellmuth record 17 WSOP bracelets and used comic book style images of old table personas. The throwbacks included Julius Caesar, Gandalf, the Greatest Showman, and scenes from earlier stages of his career, including his 1989 WSOP Main Event win.

The timing added a sharper edge. Hellmuth arrived while Daniel Negreanu and Artur Martirosian were playing heads up in Event #76: $100,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller, with a bracelet and $2.25 million on the line. Negreanu eventually won his eighth bracelet. Hellmuth entrances are usually lighthearted, but they have annoyed players before when noise cuts into serious tournament moments.

WSOP also leaned into the spectacle on social media, writing, “It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane… No, It’s Phil Hellmuth!” as Hellmuth entered the Main Event.
