Daniel Negreanu is back among the all time WSOP greats with bracelet number eight. The Canadian poker icon won Event #76: $100,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller at the 2026 World Series of Poker for $2,257,718.
Good to know
Negreanu did not just win another bracelet. He took one of the toughest high roller titles of the summer during a week when Benny Glaser, Michael Mizrachi, and Shaun Deeb also reached nine bracelets.
The 51 year old now joins the small group of players with at least eight WSOP bracelets. He is tied with Nick Schulman and sits one behind Glaser, Mizrachi, and Deeb. His latest score pushed his live earnings to $59,697,774 and his WSOP bracelet event earnings beyond $27.7 million.
The $7,968,000 prize pool paid 13 players. Naoya Kihara bubbled the money, while Joao Simao, Jonathan Depa, Lautauro Guerra, and Gergo Nagy all cashed before the final table narrowed. Jeremy Ausmus, Sergio Martinez Gonzalez, and Sean Winter also exited before the final day.
Negreanu entered the last day second in chips behind Christopher Frank, with Yosuke Miki, Philip Sternheimer, and Martirosian still chasing. Miki fell fifth after running into Martirosian, and Sternheimer followed in fourth. Frank then lost a key pot to Martirosian and took third for $1,002,107.
Heads up began with Martirosian ahead, but Negreanu quickly changed the pace. He won a major pot without showdown, then took control with a straight, before making a strong river call with trips against a Martirosian bluff. Soon after, Negreanu called the final all in with king high cards and flopped a wheel plus a nut flush draw. The turn locked the bracelet, leaving Martirosian second.
Negreanu also captured the win while filming his WSOP vlog, just as he did during his 2024 $50,000 Poker Players Championship victory. His YouTube audience, now close to 940,000 subscribers, will get the full behind the scenes version of another career defining WSOP run.
