Octoplay Gets Conditional AGLC Approval Ahead Of Alberta iGaming Launch

Alberta Adds Another Regulated Market For Octoplay

The conditional approval gives Octoplay time to line up commercial agreements with licensed Alberta operators before launch. Remaining approval conditions still apply, so the decision works as a pre launch clearance rather than full live market access.

For Alberta, the approval adds another online casino supplier before the province opens its regulated iGaming market. AGLC will oversee the new framework, including supplier approvals, operator access, and responsible gaming standards.

Octoplay enters Alberta with Canadian experience already in place. Its games are live in Ontario through BetMGM and PokerStars, giving the company a base in the country before the Alberta launch.

North America Growth Continues

Octoplay has built its North America strategy around regulated markets rather than offshore reach. The company entered the U.S. through New Jersey last year and then added Michigan in January across four major operators.

Alberta now fits into a wider network that covers Europe, Brazil, Georgia, the U.K., Ontario, New Jersey, and Michigan. In other words, the province adds to an existing regulated market plan rather than starting a new direction.
