IGT Names Mark Wadley Incoming President Of Land Based Gaming

IGT has made a major land-based gaming leadership change. Mark Wadley is joining as incoming President of Land-Based Gaming, pending regulatory approvals, with a broad brief that pulls key commercial and operating functions into one structure.

IGT Puts Land Based Gaming Under One Leader

IGT is handing a wide slice of its land-based gaming business to Mark Wadley. Once approvals are in place, he will lead an integrated setup spanning product, commercial, and operational teams across the business.

That structure gives one executive control over sales, product, service, manufacturing, marketing, communications, and government relations. For IGT, the change points to a tighter operating model as the company looks to line up product planning and customer delivery more closely. That is an inference based on the scope of the role and statements from both executives.

Wadley said:

“IGT has all the core elements of a winning gaming business, from differentiated content to global scale and long-standing customer relationships.

Fernandez framed the hire in similar terms. He said:

Wadley arrives with gaming and biotech experience and a background in team building, innovation, and commercial execution in fast-moving markets. Industry reports also identify him as a former Aristocrat executive before the move to IGT.
