iGaming.org spoke with the executive team of Gods of Poker and with management at NagaWorld ahead of GOP Phnom Penh 2026, the next stop on the tour calendar in Cambodia. The festival runs from March 26 to April 5 at NagaWorld Integrated Resort, with 87 events and a USD 500,000 guaranteed Main Event.
Good to Know
Gods of Poker is taking its tour to Cambodia later this month, and iGaming.org caught up directly with the executive team at Gods of Poker as well as management at NagaWorld to get a clearer picture of what players can expect from GOP Phnom Penh 2026. The event, branded The Coiled Path, follows earlier 2026 stops on the tour and brings the series to one of the best known poker venues in Southeast Asia.
From the Gods of Poker side, Lloyd Fontillas, Founder and General Manager, made it clear that Phnom Penh was chosen for a reason. He said NagaWorld gives the tour the right setup to deliver the full experience, while the timing also helps because the series has already found a rhythm earlier in the season. In his words:
“After running events across Asia since 2009, Phnom Penh stood out to me because NagaWorld provides the right environment to deliver the full Gods of Poker experience. As our third stop, this event comes at the perfect time the tour has found its rhythm, and players will feel that momentum from the moment they arrive.”
That view was echoed from the venue side. Christopher Gros, Senior Manager Poker Operations at NagaWorld, described the partnership as a natural fit for the property and for Cambodia. He said:
“We’re excited to be part of the inaugural season of God of Poker and to welcome this new series to Cambodia. NagaWorld and Gods of Poker are a perfect fit — combining thrilling action on and off the felt with 5-star hospitality, rich culture and vibrant nightlife. As the premier poker destination in Southeast Asia, we look forward to delivering an unforgettable experience for all players.”
Fontillas also pushed the value angle hard. He pointed to affordable hotel rates, broad food options, and low cash game rake as reasons why Phnom Penh can stretch a player travel budget further than many other stops. According to him “Phnom Penh offers exceptional value affordable hotel pricing, a wide range of food options, and low cash-game rake allowing players to play more, stay longer, and get more out of their poker travel budget.”
For players new to the brand, Fontillas framed Cambodia as a strong entry point. “Phnom Penh is an ideal place to start because it highlights what Gods of Poker is about strong structures, a welcoming atmosphere, and an experience built around players rather than grind,” Fontillas said.
On the NagaWorld side, Gros said convenience is one of the biggest selling points. He highlighted the all in one setup, where players can stay close to the action and move easily between the tournament area, hotel, and dining venues:
“Players consistently point to the all-in-one convenience and the vibrant, international atmosphere. As a premier integrated resort, we offer a seamless transition from the poker tables to world-class dining and luxury accommodation.”
The festival schedule is wide enough to hit more than one player group. Alongside the Main Event, the series includes featured tournaments such as the Demigods Challenge and GOP Olympians, plus a long list of side events across the 11 day run. That broad schedule gives recreational players, regular grinders, and bigger bankroll travelers plenty of options.
Cash games look set to be another major draw. Gros said NagaWorld can turn into a 24 hour poker hub during major series, with more than 15 tables and action ranging from $1/$3 and $2/$5 No Limit Holdem up to bigger PLO and Short Deck games on demand:
“During a series such as the Gods of Poker (GOP), NagaWorld transforms into a 24/7 hub of non-stop action. Players can expect 15+ tables running everything from $1/$3 and $2/$5 No-limit Hold’em up to high-stakes PLO and Short Deck games on demand.”
Players can also qualify through online satellites on iPoker or through live Mega Satellites at NagaWorld before the Main Event, which adds a lower cost route into the schedule.
