Philippines listed PhilWeb Corp has entered a strategic service agreement with FBM to build technology that connects digital gaming features directly into land based e bingo venues. The initiative targets operational pressure faced by physical locations as player behavior shifts toward hybrid and online experiences.
Good to Know
PhilWeb will support development and rollout of FBM Philippines online gaming capabilities, integrating systems into machines already installed across the country. Instead of directing users to an external app or website, digital content will function within the current venue environment.
FBM is widely recognised as a major presence in the Philippine e bingo segment, maintaining one of the largest distributed machine networks in the market. Integration strategy allows digital mechanics, promotional tools, and player engagement features to appear directly on site.
PhilWeb will handle core technology services, including systems integration and compliance aligned with regulatory requirements, while also helping operate the online platform infrastructure behind the scenes.
Collaboration centers on what both companies describe as an online to offline model, often called O2O, where digital functionality strengthens physical operations rather than replacing them.
Industry trends across Asia show pressure on traditional electronic gaming venues as mobile access expands. Companies increasingly look for blended environments where online elements complement on site play, loyalty programs, and real time promotions.
PhilWeb stated that the integrated structure allows digital features and engagement mechanics to flow through FBM brick and mortar locations, helping venues respond to shifting customer expectations.
“This approach is intended to help physical e-gaming venues reverse traffic pressure, enhance player engagement, and strengthen revenues, particularly in an environment where standalone offline operations face increasing challenges,” the release noted.
Brian Ng, president of PhilWeb, said:
“Rather than launching a standalone online product, this collaboration allows us to help FBM build online capabilities that are deeply integrated into their existing machine and venue network.”
Mr Ng added:
“By embedding online functionality directly into physical venues, we can support FBM in driving engagement and revitalising offline operations at scale.”
Pepe Costa, country manager at FBM Philippines, said the agreement gives the company a pathway to expand digital reach without disconnecting from its land based footprint:
“By deploying online-driven features across our machines and venues, we can offer a more engaging experience for players while creating stronger revenue opportunities for our partners nationwide.”
