Poker did not just visit the Bahamas in 2025. It took over. What started as an ambitious idea ended as a statement about how large live poker can grow outside Las Vegas. WSOP Paradise finished its run with numbers that now sit at the very top of the record books.
Good to Know
The World Series of Poker Paradise officially concluded WSOP Paradise 2025 after delivering the biggest poker festival ever staged outside Las Vegas. Across the full schedule, the series awarded $201,838,070 in total prize money.
That total capped a banner year for the WSOP brand. The Bahamas success followed a record-setting summer in Las Vegas, confirming that the WSOP name now carries global weight well beyond Nevada.
Hosted at Atlantis Paradise Island, the festival turned the resort into a round-the-clock poker hub and positioned the Caribbean stop as a permanent fixture on the high-stakes calendar.
The centerpiece of the festival came in the form of the $25,000 Super Main Event. The tournament carried a $60 million guarantee, the largest ever attached to a poker event.
Four starting flights, two Day 2 sessions, and several combined-field days produced 2,891 total entries. The turnout pushed the final prize pool to just under $72.3 million, blowing past the guarantee and reshaping expectations for destination poker events.
More than 400 players cashed, with elite professionals and recent bracelet winners scattered throughout the payout ladder.
When the dust settled, Bernhard Binder stood alone. The 27-year-old Austrian closed out the Super Main Event to secure $10,000,000 and his first WSOP gold bracelet.
He said:
“This has been on my bucket list, to be honest. That it’s the biggest one, it’s not really necessary, I would have taken any other… but we got the biggest one. I can’t complain.”
The victory marked the second major title of 2025 for Binder, who earlier won the GGMillion$ Main Event online for $1.8 million. The Bahamas result confirmed his rise from online grinder to elite live performer.
The final table moved in waves rather than explosions. Short stacks exited early, then play slowed as five-handed action dragged on with massive pots and constant repositioning. Several hands swung momentum without producing eliminations, creating long stretches of tension.
Eventually, Binder began to separate by winning key pots and applying steady pressure. Heads-up play against Jean-Noel Thorel shifted back and forth before blinds took hold. Binder regained control late and sealed the title after pairing up in the final all-in.
Thorel earned $6,000,000 for second place, adding another major score to a career already filled with deep finishes on poker biggest stages.
WSOP Paradise 2025 did more than deliver one massive tournament. The full series performance established the Bahamas as a proven destination capable of hosting poker at the highest scale.
With more than $201 million paid out across the schedule and the largest guarantee ever attached to a single event, the festival now stands as the most successful WSOP series ever held outside Las Vegas.
The full festival paid out $201,838,070 in total prize money.
The $25,000 buy-in event featured a $60 million guarantee and paid nearly $72.3 million.
Bernhard Binder won the tournament and collected $10 million.
The series took place at Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas.
