Great Canadian Entertainment has once again earned recognition from the Responsible Gaming Council, reaffirming its place among the country’s leaders in safe and sustainable gaming. Ten of its casino properties have officially received reaccreditation from the independent non-profit organization, which evaluates gaming operators on player protection, training, and ethical practices.
Good to Know
The Responsible Gaming Council, known for setting global standards in gambling integrity, confirmed that each of the ten accredited casinos met its benchmarks for responsible gambling programs and ongoing staff training. Properties included in the latest round of approvals are Great Canadian Casino Vancouver, Casino Nova Scotia Halifax and Sydney, Elements Casino Mohawk, and River Rock Casino Resort.
Keno Maseli, Great Canadian’s Social Responsibility and Sustainability Manager, called the achievement an important milestone for the company’s nationwide operations. He said:
“Receiving RG Check reaccreditation at 10 of our properties in October is a tremendous milestone. (RG) is at the heart of our operations, and this recognition reaffirms our unwavering commitment to ensuring our guests can enjoy safe, fun and sustainable experiences. This achievement is also a testament to the work of our team members, the (RGC) and our Crown partners in setting the high standards of excellence in player protection across our entire portfolio.”
Reaccreditation requires a detailed review of company policies and on-site practices, ensuring that casinos meet strict benchmarks for transparency, self-exclusion options, player awareness campaigns, and ongoing staff education. The process also evaluates how operators adapt to evolving digital gaming behaviors and community engagement standards.
The Responsible Gaming Council’s certification has become one of the most trusted quality marks in North America’s gaming industry. It underscores Great Canadian’s continued effort to balance growth with accountability, a focus that has become increasingly important as digital gaming and sports betting expand across the continent.
Several additional properties under the company’s portfolio are expected to undergo reaccreditation in late 2025 and 2026, extending the company’s responsible gaming commitments beyond its current network.
