The merger blends Bally\u2019s strong digital backbone with Intralot\u2019s global lottery infrastructure, aiming to reshape how gaming and lottery operations connect across multiple markets.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><em><strong>Good to Know<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Bally\u2019s received \u20ac1.53 billion in cash and \u20ac1.136 billion in newly issued shares.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>The deal gives Bally\u2019s a 58% equity interest in the new combined company.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Bally\u2019s plans to use $1 billion of the proceeds to reduce corporate debt and fund strategic growth.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<p><strong>Bally\u2019s Chief Executive Officer Robeson Reeves<\/strong> called it <em>\u201ca milestone transaction,\u201d<\/em> noting the merger allows the company to<em> \u201cunlock significant liquidity in a key asset while establishing an even stronger platform for digital growth.\u201d<\/em> He added,<em> \u201cOur shareholders now have visibility into the value of our interactive division as part of a larger, globally scaled operator.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The \u20ac2.7 billion ($3.2 billion) deal, first <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/casino-news\/intralot-secures-1-9b-in-financing-for-ballys-3-2b-acquisition\/\">announced<\/a> in July, officially closed after months of regulatory review and share issuance. Intralot completed a \u20ac429-million new ordinary share issue as part of the transaction. The final structure gives Bally\u2019s majority control of the combined company, with both firms aligned on expanding into new regulated gaming and digital markets.<\/p>\n<p>The partnership merges Bally\u2019s digital technology stack and data analytics platform with Intralot\u2019s extensive lottery and retail gaming reach. At least $1 billion from the deal will go toward debt reduction, while additional capital will fund new projects \u2014 including a planned $200 million investment into the Chicago casino development.<\/p>\n<p>The company is also pursuing a $500 million sale-leaseback of its Twin River Lincoln Casino Resort in Rhode Island. The transaction, combined with a $670 million credit revolver, will keep liquidity strong as Bally\u2019s continues its U.S. expansion push.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Bally\u2019s $4 billion proposal for a casino in the Bronx advanced last week, receiving a favorable vote from a local community committee \u2014 bringing the company one step closer to securing a New York City gaming license.<\/p>\n<h2>A Win for Intralot<\/h2>\n<p>For Intralot, listed on the Athens Stock Exchange since 1992, the merger creates a major growth vehicle.
