After months of speculation following the property\u2019s demolition in October 2024, the company has now filed entitlements with Clark County and shared details of what is to come.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><em><strong>Good to Know<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Construction is scheduled to begin in the first half of 2026.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Plans include two hotel towers with 3,000 rooms plus a 2,500-seat entertainment venue.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>A Major League Baseball stadium will be part of the project, reinforcing Las Vegas as a sports hub.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<p>The Tropicana was once one of the Strip\u2019s most famous landmarks, but its closure in 2023 and <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/casino-news\/tropicana-las-vegas-imploded-to-make-way-for-new-baseball-stadium\/\">demolition <\/a>in 2024 cleared the way for Bally\u2019s long-awaited vision. The company first gained approval to buy the property from Gaming and Leisure Properties (GLPI) back in 2022 for $308 million. While that purchase created excitement, it also triggered concerns when staff faced job losses as operations wound down.<\/p>\n<p>Now Bally\u2019s plans are moving forward at full pace. The resort design calls for two hotel towers, an expansive casino, and a performance venue capable of hosting 2,500 guests.
