The deal gives the German company direct access to Nevada\u2019s land-based casino market and adds momentum to its wider 2025 expansion drive.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><strong><em>Good to Know<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Nevada regulators approved the acquisition in May 2025.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Merkur Gaming US also secured a state license to manufacture and distribute that same month.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Gaming Arts is licensed in about 150 jurisdictions across the US, Canada, and Latin America.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<p>The Nevada Gaming Commission gave its <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/casino-news\/merkur-group-gets-green-light-to-return-to-nevada\/\">approval<\/a> earlier this year, clearing both the buyout and the licensing of Merkur\u2019s US subsidiary. That green light allowed Merkur Gaming US to begin manufacturing and distributing gaming products inside the state\u2014something the group has been working toward for years.<\/p>\n<h2>A Long Relationship Turned Ownership<\/h2>\n<p>Merkur and Gaming Arts were not strangers heading into this deal. The two had signed a supply agreement back in 2023, a partnership that laid the groundwork for the acquisition.
