He said:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt is true that the estimate for revenue has been revised downwards this year. <\/em><em>This picture is broadly consistent with the expectations communicated by the KSA in a recent report.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The KSA\u2019s August 2025 analysis revealed that the tax increases could reduce <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/casino\/what-is-igaming\/\">iGaming<\/a> revenue by around \u20ac40 million. VNLOK estimates the new tax structure, combined with strict advertising bans, sponsorship restrictions, and deposit limits, could leave a \u20ac200 million hole in the state\u2019s finances.<\/p>\n<p>The group urged lawmakers to reconsider the framework before more damage is done to the regulated market.<\/p>\n<h2>Ministry of Finance and Budget Impact<\/h2>\n<p>Despite industry warnings, the Ministry of Finance has maintained that the higher tax rate will deliver an additional \u20ac200 million annually between 2025 and 2028.
