Out of the 13 operating properties, nine recorded year-on-year growth, two were flat, and two saw declines.<\/p>\n<p>Slot machines once again carried the market, generating $151.8m compared to $139.3m last year. Table games climbed to $25.7m, a 21.5% increase, while hybrid tables added just over $30,000.<\/p>\n<h3>Top-earning casinos in August<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ameristar Casino St. Charles<\/strong> \u2013 $27.3m (up from $25.5m)<\/li>\n<li><strong>River City Casino<\/strong> \u2013 more than $20m (+11%)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hollywood Casino<\/strong> \u2013 more than $20m (+3%)<\/li>\n<li><strong>St. Jo Frontier Casino<\/strong> \u2013 $4.2m (down 2%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Getting Ready<\/h2>\n<p>Alongside casino results, attention is shifting to sports betting as <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/sports-news\/three-heavyweights-secure-path-into-missouris-new-sports-betting-market\/\">operators<\/a> rushed to meet the September 12 licensing deadline. Other applicants include Caesars Sportsbook, FanDuel, Fanatics Sportsbook, and Underdog, each pursuing access through casino or pro sports partnerships.<\/p>\n<h3>Partnerships and Market Entry<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Caesars Sportsbook<\/strong>: applied for online and retail licenses via Harrah\u2019s Kansas City and Horseshoe St. Louis.<\/li>\n<li><strong>FanDuel<\/strong>: partnered with MLS club St. Louis City.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fanatics Sportsbook<\/strong>: aligned with Boyd Gaming\u2019s Ameristar Casino properties.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Underdog<\/strong>: also pursuing entry through local partnerships.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Missouri Gaming Commission can issue up to 19 retail licenses and 14 online sportsbook licenses.
