Gambling businesses must have robust policies and procedures in place to protect consumers. Operators should be in no doubt: repeated regulatory breaches will result in increasingly severe enforcement action.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Social Responsibility Issues<\/h2>\n<p>The regulator also criticized ProgressPlay\u2019s customer interaction policies. It said the operator lacked systems to properly monitor new accounts or identify early signs of problem gambling. Back in May 2022, the company was ordered to pay \u00a3175,718 for similar AML and social responsibility shortcomings. The new penalty underscores the commission\u2019s tougher stance on operators that repeat mistakes.<\/p>\n<p>Along with the fine and formal warning, ProgressPlay must now undergo a third-party audit to prove it is applying its updated AML and responsible gambling policies effectively.
