The Italian gambling group, now fully independent from Apollo Global, is signaling more mergers and acquisitions could be on the horizon as it looks to build on a strong H1.<\/p>\n<p>A few weeks ago, there were already hints that more M&#038;A was coming\u2014especially given the company\u2019s momentum and history of expansion through acquisitions. The numbers now back that up.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><em><strong>Good to know<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Revenue rose 13% year-on-year to \u20ac1.12 billion in H1 2025.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Net profit jumped 215% to \u20ac64.8 million.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Online gambling accounted for \u20ac463 million, up 37%.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<p>Chairman and CEO Guglielmo Angelozzi confirmed the company is actively considering more acquisitions to support future growth. It bought <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/casino-news\/lottomatica-acquires-sks365-to-strengthten-position-in-italian-market\/\">SKS365<\/a> for \u20ac639 million last year\u2014now fully integrated and rebranded as PWO. The migration of PWO onto Lottomatica\u2019s tech stack has been completed, giving the Planetwin brand access to proprietary tools that can fuel more growth.<\/p>\n<p>Before going public in April 2023, Lottomatica was controlled by Apollo Global, which built it into a market leader via acquisitions. That included a \u20ac310 million deal for <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/casino-news\/lottomatica-acquires-sks365-to-strengthten-position-in-italian-market\/\">BetFlag<\/a> in 2022. With these moves, Lottomatica now holds 30.5% of Italy\u2019s online gambling market.<\/p>\n<h2>H1 Breakdown<\/h2>\n<p>Online gambling remained Lottomatica\u2019s biggest revenue driver, generating \u20ac463 million\u2014a 37% increase from the same period last year. Sports betting revenue also jumped 31% to \u20ac279 million, driven largely by the SKS365 acquisition and better payout margins.<\/p>\n<p>Gaming hall revenue inched up 2% to \u20ac386 million. Online bets surged 34% to 14.4 billion, and sports bets rose 17% to 2 billion. Gaming wagers dipped slightly by 2% to 5.4 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Adjusted EBITDA for the period climbed to \u20ac422 million, up 33%. Online led with \u20ac251 million (+41%), followed by gaming at \u20ac90 million (+2%) and sports betting at \u20ac81 million (+60%).<\/p>\n<p>Bottom-line results were even more striking. Net profit attributable to Lottomatica hit \u20ac64.8 million\u2014up 215% from last year. Even after higher costs, pre-tax profit nearly doubled to \u20ac108 million.<\/p>\n<h2>2025 Outlook<\/h2>\n<p>Following its H1 performance, Lottomatica reaffirmed its full-year guidance.
