While the increase compared to last year is small, it reflects stable performance as the region\u2019s casino sector continues its recovery.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><em><strong>Good to know<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Gaming tax revenue for H1 2025 is up 1.05% year-on-year.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>MOP8.15 billion ($1.01 billion) was collected in June alone.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>First-half gaming taxes now cover 48.6% of Macau\u2019s full-year target.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<p>According to the Financial Services Bureau, tax revenue from gaming between January and June 2025 hit MOP45.26 billion. That brings Macau to nearly 49% of its full-year gaming tax goal.<\/p>\n<p>In June specifically, the government collected MOP8.15 billion ($1.01 billion) in gaming taxes, a 4.83% increase compared to the same month in 2024.<\/p>\n<h2>GGR growth continues<\/h2>\n<p>The modest rise in tax revenue tracks closely with gains in gross gaming revenue. June\u2019s GGR came in at MOP21.06 billion ($2.6 billion), up 19% year-on-year.
