The state\u2019s Gaming Commission released the latest numbers, offering a full snapshot of betting activity across digital and brick-and-mortar venues.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><em><strong>Good to know<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Online sports betting handle hit $1.6 billion, up 12% year-over-year.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Casino table games GGR dropped nearly 17% compared to last June.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>FanDuel led all sportsbook operators in monthly revenue despite a smaller handle than DraftKings.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<p>Online sports betting remained strong, with operators pulling in $206.5 million in gross gaming revenue (GGR) for June. Though the total handle was $1.6 billion\u2014the lowest since August 2024\u2014it still marked a 12% increase from the same time last year. Online wagering GGR rose by more than 54% year-over-year, reaching $161.8 million.<\/p>\n<p>Operators contributed over $105.3 million to education funds and sent another $101.2 million to platform providers, making online betting a major revenue stream for the state.<\/p>\n<p>FanDuel, owned by Flutter Entertainment, reported the highest GGR at $86.3 million from a $563.7 million handle. Even though DraftKings accepted more bets\u2014$607 million\u2014it trailed with $69.8 million in GGR. Fanatics Betting and Gaming followed with $17.3 million in revenue from $151.7 million wagered. While slot machines held steady with $526.7 million in handle and brought in $41.8 million in GGR (a modest $700k increase), table games struggled. Credits dropped 9.1% to $69.4 million, and GGR for table play fell by 16.8%, totaling $11.8 million. Poker added $862,000 in GGR, and retail sports betting generated $677,400 from a $3.8 million handle.<\/p>\n<p>Retail casinos paid nearly $13.9 million in gaming taxes and produced $41.3 million in net revenue during the month, reflecting a 3% decline from June 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, legislative shifts are in motion. Lawmakers recently passed a bill aimed at <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/casino-news\/new-york-may-ban-sweepstakes-casinos-as-sb-5935-heads-to-governor\/\">banning sweepstakes casinos<\/a> in the state. At the same time, final proposals for a new land-based casino complex are still <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/casino-news\/new-york-casino-licenses-enter-local-review-stage\/\">under review<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate development, FanDuel celebrated its <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/sports-news\/fanduel-cuts-ribbon-on-new-nyc-office-location\/\">new office<\/a> in New York City\u2019s Flatiron District on June 23.
