According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Resorts World Las Vegas has laid off scores of workers. This action comes after the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) imposed a regulatory penalty.<\/p>\n

Less than 50 full-time employees would be impacted by the company\u2019s personnel reduction, which was confirmed in a statement. According to Resorts World, the reorganization was a calculated step to set up the business for long-term success.<\/p>\n

Facing Regulatory Scrutiny<\/h2>\n

The layoffs occurred within 24 hours of the company facing disciplinary action from state regulators. Alongside its parent company, Genting Berhad, Resorts World Las Vegas is scheduled to appear before the Nevada Gaming Commission to respond to the allegations.<\/p>\n

The NGCB\u2019s 10-count complaint, filed last August, accused the casino of violating anti-money laundering regulations. The board also alleged that the resort allowed individuals with ties to illegal bookmaking and federal felony convictions to gamble at the property.<\/p>\n
