The state\u2019s yearly gaming revenue has surpassed $6 billion for the first time, according to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board\u2019s (PGCB) historic FY2024 numbers. Due to expansion in a number of gaming-related industries, the sum of $6.1 billion represents a 7.7% rise over the prior year.<\/p>\n

With a staggering 25.3% year-over-year gain and $2.2 billion in revenue, iGaming was the largest growth driver. A notable month that broke the previous monthly record for iGaming revenue was December 2024<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sports wagering also broke new annual records, despite a 69.8% revenue drop in December. For FY2024, sports betting revenue rose by 11.4% to $510.7 million. Retail slot machines remained the largest contributor, bringing in nearly $2.5 billion, though this was a slight 0.7% decline from the prior year.<\/p>\n

Mixed Results Across Gaming Sectors<\/h2>\n

Table games generated $937.5 million, down 3.5% year-over-year, while video gaming terminals (VGTs) saw a modest 0.7% rise, contributing $41.5 million. Fantasy sports contests continued to decline, with revenue falling 7.1% to $18.7 million.<\/p>\n

DraftKings and FanDuel, leaders in fantasy sports, reported revenue drops of 6% and 26.3%, respectively. Despite challenges in specific sectors, Pennsylvania\u2019s overall gaming market showed resilience.<\/p>\n
