Bacta has commended its members for their pivotal role in making this year\u2019s Safer Gambling Week (SGW) a resounding success. Executive Director George McGregor described the event as \u201canother hugely successful Safer Gambling Week,\u201d highlighting its impact on promoting responsible gaming practices.<\/p>\n

A Unified Effort for Safer Gambling<\/h2>\n

Organized collaboratively by the Betting and Gaming Council, Bacta, and the Bingo Association, SGW aimed to ignite a nationwide conversation on safer gambling. Through an array of campaigns, it emphasized tools and resources available to help individuals gamble responsibly. The week-long initiative also focused on providing guidance and support for those in need.<\/p>\n

McGregor expressed his satisfaction with the participation of Bacta members, saying, \u201cAlthough the full set of metrics in terms of the number of deposit limits set during the week and the number of social media impressions are still being evaluated, I am delighted that so many Bacta members played a full and active role in helping to raise awareness in-venue and throughout their organizations.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Bacta members consistently prioritize safer gambling practices throughout the year. However, McGregor emphasized the importance of SGW in amplifying these efforts. He stated, \u201cSafer Gambling is what Bacta members practice 365 days a year, and Safer Gambling Week helps to raise awareness amongst consumers and complements the hands-on initiatives run by operators.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The week also gained strong political backing. McGregor highlighted the support from Parliamentarians, saying, \u201cI am delighted that such a wide range of cross-party Parliamentarians, including Ministers and Shadow Ministers, came out to support Safer Gambling Week, helping to reinforce Bacta\u2019s political engagement programme.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
