Flutter Entertainment has announced a major organizational reorganization and leadership change that will go into effect in January 2025. By segmenting its foreign operations into five different regions\u2014Southern Europe & Africa (SEA), Central & Eastern Europe (CEE), Asia-Pacific (APAC), UK & Ireland (UKI), and Brazil\u2014the company hopes to increase its global reach and operational efficiency. Under the direction of current International CEO Dan Taylor, these areas will be included in the enlarged International Division. In the meanwhile, Amy Howe will continue to supervise the U.S. operations as CEO.<\/p>\n

Leadership Transition in UK & Ireland<\/h2>\n

Kevin Harrington, the CEO of PokerStars, will take over Flutter\u2019s UK & Ireland division, succeeding Ian Brown, who has decided to leave after more than two years in the role. Harrington\u2019s appointment, effective January 1, 2025, will see him report directly to Taylor.<\/p>\n

Expressing his excitement about the new role, Harrington said: \u201cI\u2019m incredibly proud to be given the chance to take over and run a business I first joined more than a decade ago. I want to continue the work that has made Flutter the clear market leader across the UK and Ireland and maintain the high standards we have set \u2013 with responsible gambling at the core of all our work.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Harrington joined Betfair in 2012 and has held various leadership roles, including Chief Commercial Officer of Flutter\u2019s International division and Managing Director of Betfair.<\/p>\n

Outgoing UKI CEO Ian Brown received praise from Flutter\u2019s CEO Peter Jackson, who noted: \u201cIan\u2019s time at Flutter has been enormously successful. He has transformed the UK and Ireland business on almost every metric and he will be a hard act to follow. Kevin\u2019s promotion is very well-deserved and the business will be in safe hands as we embark on the next phase of our growth plan.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
