Nick Marchington hast taken the first place at the North American Poker Tour (NAPT) Main Event held at Resorts World Las Vegas, winning a payout of $765,200. The British player outlasted a field of 895 entrants in the $5,000 buy-in tournament, adding this win to his growing list of achievements in competitive poker.<\/p>\n

Marchington\u2019s journey began in 2019, when he was a 21-year-old newcomer at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) main event, finishing in seventh place<\/a><\/strong> and securing $1.525 million. Reflecting on his growth since that first major showing, he shared, \u201cI was a spring chicken, especially in tournaments. I was very inexperienced in poker, and now in life and in poker, I feel a lot more experienced.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

At this year\u2019s NAPT final table, Marchington came in as the chip leader and maintained his lead throughout the final day. After the game, he told PokerStars reporters, \u201cIt really was a dream. It\u2019s one of the most fun experiences I\u2019ve had playing poker. Everyone loves to come in being the chip leader, and I was very lucky to maintain the chip lead and not even come close to losing it for pretty much the whole final table.\u201d<\/em> His steady play paid off, securing him a well-earned victory.<\/p>\n

The NAPT Main Event ran over five days, drawing top players from around the world to compete for the prize pool. This was the NAPT\u2019s second consecutive event at Resorts World Las Vegas, establishing the venue as a prime location for high-stakes poker. The top 127 players made it into the money, with payouts starting at $8,900, highlighting the intense competition that lasted through every round.<\/p>\n

Among the final competitors were familiar faces from past events. Last year\u2019s NAPT champion, Sami Bechahed, finished in 37th place, taking home $17,100. Many well-known players, including Upeshka De Silva, Kitty Kuo, David Peters, and Maria Konnikova, put up strong performances, but Marchington held his ground to the end.<\/p>\n
