September\u2019s gaming revenue was made public by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, marking a significant milestone for the state\u2019s iGaming industry. With a 27.1% rise from the previous year, New Jersey\u2019s online gaming win crossed the $200 million mark for the first time, coming in at $208.1 million. The state\u2019s total revenue from 2024 iGaming has now surpassed $1.73 billion. Revenue soared last month<\/a> as well.<\/p>\n

iGaming Growth Leads the Charge<\/strong><\/h2>\n

New Jersey\u2019s iGaming success mirrors similar trends in other states, though only Michigan has also crossed the $200 million threshold, reporting $215.5 million in March 2024. While iGaming soared, traditional casino revenue saw a dip. September\u2019s casino win dropped by 6.5%, totaling $230.6 million. Year-to-date, total casino revenue is down slightly, dropping 0.9% to $2.15 billion.<\/p>\n

Sports wagering followed a positive trend, bringing in $119.6 million in September, a 7.6% increase over the same period in 2023. Combined, sports wagering revenue for 2024 reached $835.4 million, marking a 17.8% rise from last year. In total, New Jersey\u2019s gaming revenue for September 2024 was reported at $558.3 million, a 7.1% improvement year-over-year.<\/p>\n

The Borgata Hotel and Casino was the top performer, bringing in $62.4 million, a 15% rise over the previous year, despite some setbacks in traditional gaming. In September, there was a 5.2% decline in slot machine wins and a 10.1% decrease in table game wins. On the other hand, iGaming profits increased overall, while sports betting revenue at Tropicana, Caesars, Bally\u2019s, and Hard Rock increased.<\/p>\n

Of the entire amount of money wagered on sports in the state, $58.5 million was wagered at retail establishments, and an astounding $1.03 billion was wagered online.<\/p>\n
