Brazil has blocked almost 2,000 websites that are considered \u201cirregular,\u201d as part of its increased attempts to control online gambling, according to a recent Associated Press story. This action was taken in response to growing worries about the effects of gambling addiction on society.<\/p>\n

This decision was taken by the Brazilian government in response to mounting worries about public health. The Federal Government announced in a statement that although 96 businesses are currently in charge of 210 active gambling websites, only those that are dedicated to abiding by the new regulations will be permitted to stay in business until the end of the year. Their applications for licenses are presently being examined.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Brazil\u2019s Ministry of Finance clarified on its social media platforms that only licensed betting operators will be allowed to conduct business in the country. As of October 1, unauthorized gambling sites are prohibited from offering their services across the region. In the months leading up to this decision, the nation\u2019s betting management system received 121 license applications from operators seeking compliance.<\/p>\n

These 15 guidelines are all centered around protecting players, and they include protecting children, providing easily understood information, and encouraging responsible gaming with programs like national hotlines and self-exclusion tools.<\/p>\n

To guarantee safer gaming environments in Brazil, the IBJR places a strong emphasis on collaborating with authorized third-party providers and promotes evidence-based consumer protection measures.<\/p>\n
