Richard Schuster, argued that the 28 coinless kiosks used by Encore Boston Harbor violated both Wynn\u2019s internal controls and industry regulations. The kiosks issued bills for most of the funds and provided redemption tickets for any leftover change. Schuster claimed that these machines should have dispensed the exact amount of money owed to players.<\/p>\n<p>However, a panel from the First Circuit Court ruled in favor of Wynn Resorts. They concluded that the use of these kiosks does not qualify as an unfair or deceptive business practice. The court also noted that the kiosks are not required to provide coins directly. Instead, players can redeem any remaining coins from a cashier.<\/p>\n<p>This decision upholds the practices at Encore Boston Harbor, a major casino operated by Wynn Resorts. The company, listed on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker WYNN, also operates several other prominent properties, including Wynn Las Vegas, Wynn Palace, and Wynn Macau.<\/p>\n<p>The expansion project at Encore Boston Harbor has been paused due to ongoing negotiations with the city of Everett. The discussions center around taxes and impact fees, which have delayed the construction of a new facility.
