Additionally, this number represents a 4.9% increase from <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/casino-news\/pennsylvania-gaming-revenue-surpasses-500-million-in-july\/\">July 2024<\/a>, mostly due to the state\u2019s iGaming industry\u2019s explosive growth.<\/p>\n<p>August saw a stunning 29% growth in the state\u2019s iGaming income to $183.7 million over the previous year. Slightly less than the $191.1 million received in March 2024, this sum reflects the second-highest monthly income ever documented. With $138.3 million in revenue, online slots took the lead, followed by table games with $43.2 million. And $2.2 million was made from online poker.<\/p>\n<p>Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course maintained its dominance in the iGaming market with a revenue of $72.1 million. Valley Forge Casino Resort followed closely with $46.0 million, and Rivers Casino Philadelphia reported $30.8 million in revenue.<\/p>\n<h2>Sports Betting Revenue Grows Despite Fluctuations<\/h2>\n<p>Gross sports betting revenue reached $45.4 million, representing a significant year-on-year increase of 48.4%. However, this figure reflects a 13.9% decline from July. After promotional credits, taxable sports betting revenue amounted to $30.0 million.<\/p>\n<p>Online sports betting was the leader in this category, generating $25.5 million in revenue, while retail outlets contributed $4.5 million. In contrast, physical table games saw a slight revenue decline of 2.1%, bringing in $81.0 million.<\/p>\n<p>Video gaming terminals also saw a modest increase, with revenues rising by 5.7% to $3.7 million.
