French poker player Clement Richez has achieved a major win in the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Mid-Stakes Championship (Event#89). Richez secured $1,041,989 and his first bracelet by defeating 3,177 entries in the $3,000 buy-in event.<\/p>\n

Last year, Richez finished 50th in the WSOP main event, earning $188,400, which was his biggest payday at the time. This year, he surpassed that milestone by winning the mid-stakes championship. His total recorded tournament earnings are now nearly $1.5 million, with most coming from his dozen cashes in WSOP bracelet events.<\/p>\n

The tournament\u2019s prize pool was $8,482,590, with the top 477 finishers making money. Several well-known players reached the final tables, including Michael Soyza<\/a> (24th), World Poker Tour and European Poker Tour main event winner Andrey Pateychuk (7th), Taylor Black (6th), Alec Torelli (3rd), and Adam Owen (2nd).<\/p>\n
