However, Sport &#038; Casino revenue experienced a modest decline, attributed to weaker sports offerings and lower sports betting margins. Meanwhile, the closure of land-based casino sites significantly impacted the Casino Cosmopol &#038; Vegas segment, resulting in a notable revenue drop.<\/p>\n<p>Despite offline revenue challenges, Svenska Spel witnessed a promising 5.8% increase in online gambling revenue, representing a substantial portion of its Q1 earnings. However, revenue from betting shops and bingo\/restaurants saw declines, reflecting broader market shifts and the impact of operational adjustments.<\/p>\n<p>Along with poor financial results, Svenska Spel also had to deal with regulatory challenges. Most notably, its digital division, Svenska Spel Sport &#038; Casino, was hit with a SEK100.0 million fine for violating player duty of care.
