With the departure of Chair Barry Gibson from the board, Entain, a pioneer in sports betting and gambling globally, is preparing for an internal leadership change. Stella David, who is presently acting as an interim CEO<\/a>, will take over as chair following his departure.<\/p>\n

Entain has stated that Barry Gibson would step down from his role by September 2024. But Gibson may go sooner if the business names a permanent CEO before then. According to Entain, the ongoing CEO search is moving very nicely.<\/p>\n

Gibson\u2019s Impact and Legacy at Entain<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Gibson, who joined the board in November 2019 and assumed the chairmanship in February 2020, played a pivotal role in Entain\u2019s transformation journey from GVC to its current entity. During his tenure, he spearheaded board renewal initiatives, emphasized market regulation, and navigated the company through regulatory probes.<\/p>\n

Under Gibson\u2019s leadership, Entain witnessed significant expansion, achieving a remarkable EBITDA growth to \u00a31 billion in 2023.<\/p>\n

Stella David, a seasoned non-executive director and senior independent director at Entain since 2021, will succeed Gibson.
