After being bought by Allwyn, Camelot, the original operator since 1994, stopped legal proceedings after losing a High Court battle in June.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, IGT continued its lawsuit and went to the Court of Appeal to demand damages from the UKGC. With IGT\u2019s recent decision to withdraw its appeal, a bitter legal struggle involving the National Lottery procurement process has come to a conclusion.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Challenges and Legal Battles Concluded<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>When granting the National Lottery license, the UKGC underlined its dedication to holding a competitive and equitable process. According to a statement from the UKGC, Allwyn Entertainment is scheduled to get the Fourth National Lottery Licence on February 1, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>IGT said in its legal challenge that Article 1 of the European Convention on Human Rights, which requires legal rights for all people, was broken by giving the contract to Allwyn.
