This achievement comes just a few days after he revealed his <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/poker-news\/2023-was-a-tough-year-for-daniel-negreanu-with-2-2m-loss\/\">losses of over $2.2 million in 2023<\/a> through a video. Negreanu\u2019s recent win in the $10,100 NLHE event is his biggest since his Super High Roller Bowl victory in October 2022, where he earned more than $3.3 million.<\/p>\n<p>Negreanu\u2019s approach to 2024 is to make changes, and this victory seems to be the first step in that direction. His openness about his previous year\u2019s losses is part of his strategy for a mental reset and a fresh beginning. <em>\u201cI can put 2023 in the rearview mirror having looked back on what worked and what didn\u2019t, and get a fresh start to the year in 2024,\u201d<\/em> Negreanu stated.<\/p>\n<p>The PGT event was competitive, drawing 91 entries and featuring a late-night final table with top players like Nick Schulman (8th, $36,400), Isaac Haxton (7th, $45,500), David Peters (6th, $54,600), and Justin Bonomo (4th, $91,000). The final showdown was between Negreanu and experienced player Daniel Smiljkovic.
