Negreanu\u2019s year was characterized by an unprecedented volume of tournament participation. He played in 145 tournaments, the most in over a decade, possibly even in his entire career. However, this increase in activity didn\u2019t translate into proportional success, with Negreanu cashing in about 27% of these events.<\/p>\n

Negreanu also expressed his decision to change his strategy regarding the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Player of the Year race in 2024. Despite his status as the only two-time winner, he criticized the current system, emphasizing, \u201cIt\u2019s too heavily related to volume\u2026number of cashes\u2026so it\u2019s all about quantity over quality.\u201d<\/em> He plans to reduce his event participation, focusing on \u2018quality over quantity.\u2019<\/p>\n
