With this historic step, PENN Entertainment will begin building a state-of-the-art hotel at Hollywood Casino Columbus, which will be a major turning point for the growing venue. To demonstrate its eagerness to turn the casino into a legitimate local attraction, the firm is holding a \u201cgroundbreaking ceremony\u201d today at 1 am ET.<\/p>\n

Elevating the Entertainment Hub<\/h2>\n

In highlighting the hotel\u2019s revolutionary effect, Jaw Snowden, President and CEO of PENN Entertainment, said that it will make Hollywood Casino Columbus a \u201ctrue regional destination.\u201d The company\u2019s dedication to improving the entire experience for Columbus venue visitors is demonstrated by the $100 million budget allotted for the project.<\/p>\n

With its modern restaurant, 180 guest rooms, and conference rooms, the new building will be perfectly incorporated into the current complex, elevating the entertainment hub to a new level of elegance. There will likely be a pleasant economic boost for the neighborhood as a result of this development, creating perhaps 100 permanent employment.<\/p>\n

The hotel project in Columbus is part of PENN Entertainment\u2019s<\/a> larger expansion plan. Three other major projects are being aggressively pursued by the firm at the same time: two land-based casinos in Aurora and Joliet, Illinois, and an additional hotel tower in Henderson, Nevada.<\/p>\n

These audacious endeavors have significant financial support; the local government has invested $50 million on the Aurora project. In addition, Gaming and Leisure Properties have shown their support by contributing an astounding $575 million toward PENN Entertainment\u2019s four expansion projects, for a total of an astounding $850 million.<\/p>\n
