Since the casino\u2019s inauguration in June 2021, Cipriani has been a frequent gambler there. He is requesting an undisclosed amount in compensation and punitive damages.<\/p>\n<p>After leaving the firm in the middle of September, Sibella was fired for disobeying the conditions of her job contract and company policy. Colby Williams, stated, <em>\u201cWhile we are still reviewing Mr. Cipriani\u2019s complaint, it appears to be the latest rehashing of allegations against Resorts World and Mr. Sibella that have been thoroughly investigated and determined to be baseless by Nevada gaming authorities and others. Now that Mr. Cipriani has chosen to pursue these matters in federal court, we look forward to establishing their lack of merit in that forum as well.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Cipriani has previously been charged with robbery and theft at Resorts World, but those charges were dropped in May by Clark County prosecutors. Even though a Nevada Gaming Control Board investigation in February found no misconduct on Sibella\u2019s part, his present complaint is based on accusations against Sibella and the casino.<\/p>\n<p>High roller Brandon Sattler made the initial accusations, claiming in a sworn deposition taken as part of a fraud case that Sibella was associated with David Stroj, a convicted bookmaker. He included text messages with Resorts World staff members and a letter to Genting\u2019s senior executive, K.T. Lim, pleading for Sibella to be held accountable for enabling illegal players to place bets.<\/p>\n<p>According to the complaint, Sibella and Resorts World attempted to silence Cipriani, also known as \u201cRobin Hood 702\u201d on social media, in order to stop him from disclosing the alleged irregularities and illegal activity of the casino.
