{"id":3925,"date":"2022-08-10T06:58:53","date_gmt":"2022-08-10T06:58:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/slategray-wallaby-310340.hostingersite.com\/index.php\/2022\/08\/10\/twitch-confirms-massive-overhaul-of-gambling-related-content\/"},"modified":"2022-08-10T06:58:53","modified_gmt":"2022-08-10T06:58:53","slug":"twitch-confirms-massive-overhaul-of-gambling-related-content","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/casino-online-best.com\/index.php\/2022\/08\/10\/twitch-confirms-massive-overhaul-of-gambling-related-content\/","title":{"rendered":"Twitch Confirms Massive Overhaul of Gambling Related Content"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Twitch has confirmed to be carrying out <strong>\u201ca complete overhaul<\/strong>\u201d of \u00a0online gambling, gaming\u00a0 and betting content on its streaming platform.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with Bloomberg which has reported on online gaming and Twitch streamers and users, a platform representative confirmed that the company is indeed <strong>\u201ccurrently in the midst of an in-depth review of gaming behavior on Twitch.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe take any potential harm to our community very seriously,\u201d<\/em> the representative said, adding that <em>\u201cwhile game content represents a very small fraction of the content streamed on Twitch, we monitor it closely to ensure our approach mitigates potential harm to our global community.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Enforced on August 17 of 2021, Twitch authorities had already <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/casino-news\/twitch-bans-dodgy-gambling-related-links-and-referrals\/\">placed new restriction<\/a>s in order to prevent harm and scams by questionable gambling services that sponsor content on Twitch by effectively banning gambling-related links and referral links.<\/p>\n<p>The Bloomberg article furthermore highlighted the efforts of streamer \u00a0Felix \u201cxQc\u201d Lengyel and American rapper <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/sports-news\/rapper-drake-bets-over-ca1-5-million-in-btc-rooting-for-the-la-rams\/\">Drake<\/a>, for bookmaker <a href=\"https:\/\/stake.com\/?c=94d7e91bbc\" rel=\"nofollow\">Stake.com<\/a> during live streams.<\/p>\n<p>Two other popular streamers on Twitch are Trainwreckstv and Tyceno, representing the likes of Stake.com and Roobet with the former having a massive following of 1.5Million people. Both like to mix in casino games with video games on their channels.
