NSUS and CEO Mansoo \u201cMichael\u201d Kim filed a motion to dismiss on September 23, with a hearing scheduled for November 12.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><strong>Good to Know<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Kenney seeks compensatory and punitive damages, plus an accounting of company records.<\/li>\n<li>He alleges affiliate income fell from about $5 million in 2019 to $3 million in 2025.<\/li>\n<li>The lawsuit also raises allegations about cheating, player payments and access for American players.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<h2><strong>Kenney Raises Security and Player Payment Claims<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The dispute extends beyond commissions. Kenney alleges Kim knew about cheating but failed to address it, despite earlier assurances that security and anti-cheating teams protected the platform.<\/p>\n<p>According to the lawsuit, Kim later blamed players Kenney recruited. Kenney also says he guaranteed player bankrolls and personally paid one player $1 million after Kim allegedly failed to distribute $6 million to players.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, the complaint alleges GGPoker recruited American players and helped them access the platform. Those claims remain allegations. Neither NSUS nor Kim has publicly commented on the case.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Disputed Equity Deal Adds WSOP Stakes<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The ownership dispute carries additional implications following the $500 million acquisition of the World Series of Poker by NSUS in 2024. Kenney argues the alleged failure to deliver his equity also deprived him of an interest in the series. He claims his work helped support the acquisition.<\/p>\n<p>Kenney traces the arrangement to 2018, when he says Kim promised recurring affiliate payments, equity and an ambassador role. He alleges he subsequently recruited thousands of players and agents through 2025 and helped develop high-stakes games.<\/p>\n<p>However, the complaint accuses GGPoker of removing recruits from his affiliate tracking, imposing unauthorized fees and approaching sub-agents directly. Kenney says those actions reduced his commissions.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit alleges breach of contract and fraudulent inducement, among other claims. It states:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIn the world of poker, deceit, misdirection, and misstatement are fair game. In the world of commerce, they are illegal.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Kenney initially filed in Clark County District Court in July.
